Workshop
Skill Development workshops are targeted towards differently abled adults. women and children from backward communities who struggle with their financial needs and also teachers. Such people are brought together under the SDW wing and are taught various self-help chores and entrepreneurial tasks that could help them be independent for themselves in the society. This helps reduce the burden on themselves and also earns them a badge of respect from the society which otherwise treats such people rather ignorantly.It also offers soft skills development for adults with special needs, helps in team building and improves cohesiveness in the group.
In addition, it also organizes Family based rehabilitation and home management programs for children with special needs, who require more attention than a normal child. It has also conducted various social sensitization and individual social responsibility workshops in various educational institutions. The SDWs are conducted in both online and offline modes depending on various factors, like proximity, availability and time-concerns. However, DF tries to maintain its standards of knowledge communication despite the mode of the workshops.
